I started wearing the Phoenix Fire version this week. Don't wear them with white socks. If I wear white socks they will be orange by the time I take the shoes off. I've never had the color of shoes wear off on clothing before. I had to bleach my socks to get the color back to white.
I purchased these shoes for walking the dog at the dog park. It can have rough terrain and the shoes have great traction. Only complaint would be that your feet can get wet in longer grass after it rains. No biggie because this helps with keeping your feet cool when it's hot out. I've been waiting for a pair of trail running kicks with some great support, and these are by far my favorite. They are really light, durable, and supportive while speeding through some tough terrain. Great design and the size I expected to wear was exactly what I thought. Well done UA
First of all, I am not just posting this because of incentive, I would be posting this regardless, because These are Great shoes for working long hours on your feet. Durable, comfortable, lightweight, and best of all, material keeps feet cool and so easy to clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
These shoes look great and were very comfortable when I initially put them on. I went for a walk in them and right away there was discomfort on top off both of my big toes. I kept walking thinking I'm just breaking in the shoes. Big mistake. When I got back home from my short two mile walk, I couldn't stand the pain. The black rubber that comes up over the front somehow irritated my feet so bad that the material actually cut into my skin. To this day, about a week and a half later, I still have cuts and I have a difficult time wearing any shoes. Needless to say, I have returned these shoes.
These look awesome they are comfortable and durable. My wife got these for me for Valentine's Day. I haven't had them off road yet. But I did run a half marathon in Ft Worth, TX last weekend and after the run my feet felt great. They held up to my expectations and still look brand new. Great job under armour.
UA' s re-entry to trail running is a big success. I was expecting a spinoff from speedform shoes again but was surprised that is not not the approach with these shoes. They feel much more conventional but are still incredibly comfortable and the Charged foam shines most when running down a hill giving you a firm landing without worring about the impact shaking up through my body. Of coarse the Michelin outsole helps too and as promised they do a fantastic job leaving behind mud and debris so you are not sacrificing traction or hitchhiking mud to slow you down. Being winter in Washington state (the snowy side) it has exceeded my expectations through melting snow and globbing monsters of mud I was worried the ripstop fabric would soak through easily but assuming you don't submerged your foot in a puddle they handle backsplash just fine and are very durable. The Michelin outsoles are the crown jewel as shedding mud was a big factor in buying trail shoes and these do that with ease. Thanks under armour! If this your 1st time with trail runner's size up 1/2 to allow more room in toe box when running down hill. Otherwise they run true to size.
