The heels wore down on these within 4 weeks of purchase, making them useless in rain and snow or on hills, which is what boots are supposed to be for, which makes these a real waste.
I compare all hiking boots to the original Chetco hiking shoe. They were extremely durable and the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. These fell short of that standard. Aesthetically they are very stylish. They had a wide variety of color schemes (previously). They did run a bit larger than expected and were not as durable at the seam between the sole and fabric upper. It did not completely separate, but there is a noticeable gap that has developed on both shoes and down the inner and outer seams. While it has not effected the serviceability and waterproof nature of the shoe, it did surprise me based on the quality of UA products I have come to enjoy. The biggest disappointment was in comfort. Again the standard for me were the original Chetco series and these fell woefully short of that standard. There were not uncomfortable per se, but I do not wear them on back to back days, etc.
I know these shoes are listed for hiking, but I purchased the all black ones for work and they are perfect. It has great stability and coverage for a long hike or a long day on my feet at work. These shoes could also be listed under tactical shoes. They are very pricey, but how often do you buy work shoes? Not often, and the price is worth the comfort of my feet for long work shifts.
UA hit's the mark with these shoes!
Do not buy these boots. They were awesome....for about one month. 3 months in and they are falling apart. The protective toe has cracked in several spots, whatever the plastic protector on the sides are has cracked and is peeling off. The tread on the bottom is already worn down. And the sole is completely worn out. These shoes deserve to be on walmart shelves. Poor job by UA, because they generally have quality products.
I have had these boots for about three months. They are super comfortable but not very durable. Boots started to come unglued on the inner soles in the front. Wish they lasted longer.
I normally wear an 11 in trainers, and a 10.5 in boots. This pair I had to buy a 10. Black on black. They are super light and seem to be pretty rugged. The tread doesnt slip at all even on laminated floors. You can easily run as if the boots are trainers. Overall very happy with this purchase.
So, I like to really use a product before writing a review and these hikers are no exception. Im on my second pair, the first pair lasted about 1 month before they start coming apart at the sole. Ive always had great durability with UA gear so i thought maybe I had a bad set, returned for a new pair. The second pair didnt last much longer before the same problem. They are extremely comfortable, and if you dont need the waterproof aspect of them, then my issue isnt a big deal. However I'm a hunting and fishing guide and do need the waterproofing so they dont meet my standards.
These shoes have been great for the two weeks I have had them. My only concern is the area over the big toe on the left shoe seems to be giving out. This is only my fifth pair of shoes from UA, sure won't be my last.
I have been shopping for the perfect shoe for work. Athletic, durable, but breathable. I stumbled across these shoes and instantly purchased them. I chose the camo color because they look slick and fit in at my unconventional office. As a purchasing manager shopping for a living, I know paying for quality is well worth it. Unfortunately, I am on day 5 and the sole is already splitting from the shoe. Attractive , beyond comfortable, but sadly very poorly made. I expected better from a well respected, and expensive premium company. Back to the drawing board and out the extra cash I splurged on in an effort to find the ultimate shoe.
I ordered these boots and they started coming apart with in a month. Not happy with the quality at all. I've been wearing UA products for a long time and have never had this issue before.
